The Devonshire is Vispring's entry point into the hand-crafted range, building its case entirely on British wool with three distinct layers that perform different roles from surface to core. The ticking blends wool and viscose for a soft, durable cover that stands up to decades of use, while the initial fleece provides immediate give to promote air flow and regulate temperature through the night. A deeper layer of British fleece wool adds depth and resilience, preventing uneven surface compression over time.
The spring system features a single tier of 1,716 hand-nested, calico-pocketed Vanadium steel coils in a King size. Each coil sits in its own calico pocket and responds to weight independently, ensuring balanced support for sleepers of different builds. Vanadium steel maintains tension longer than standard carbon steel, a reason it’s used across the range. The Devonshire is available in Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm, with King sizes splittable for different preferences. Two rows of hand side-stitching secure the border coils to the edge, while hand-tufting with felt washers anchors fillings to prevent lateral shift and preserve a consistent sleeping surface for years.
